Good Food Box
What is it?
The Good Food Box Program is a program under the Community Kitchen Program of Calgary where anyone can purchase boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables at an affordable price. The boxes are assembled by dedicated volunteers, who along with The Community Kitchen desire to see individuals and families accessing nutritious fruits and vegetables at an affordable price.
Thanks to community support, the Acadia Community Association has successfully established the Acadia Recreation Complex as a monthly Good Food Box Depot.
WHAT'S IN THE BOX?
Each Good Food Box contains a combination of fruits and vegetables. The content varies due to seasonal availability, but all boxes contain the maximum produce to ensure clients get the most value for the price. Clients can choose from three different box sizes and the program is available to everyone regardless of income level.
