Allandale close PLAyground

Replacement project

The playground adjacent to the new Cardel Homes development on 6th Ave SE is outdated, unsafe and sees limited use due to its aging equipment. The paint is peeling and the old metal structures are rusting, the pea gravel surface limits accessibility, and there are no areas for parents to sit and watch their children play.

Write a mini case here and include details such as:

  • why this project is next on the ACA’s list for replacement?

  • what opportunities we have here to level-up the vibrancy of our neighbourhood

  • our goals for the new playground

  • when we expect to complete the project by

Our goal is to raise approximately $200,000 to replace the existing playground structure and to revitalize the surrounding area.

Check the Project Blog for the latest updates on the playground’s design, where we are with the project, how much we’ve raised, and how close we are to installation day!

A playground is a huge undertaking, requiring volunteers for organization, participation in our fundraising events, and both monetary and in-kind donations.
