a new playground replacement project

The ACA is excited to announce that with support from Parks Foundation and the City of Calgary, we are kicking off a brand-new project: the replacement of one of our local playgrounds!

The playground on Allandale Close has been identified as the next in line for renewal, and we're thrilled to begin planning for a refreshed, safe, and fun space that will serve local families for years to come. But we can't do it without you.

We Need Your Voice

As part of this project, we’ll be launching a Community Engagement Survey to gather input from residents like you. We want to know what matters most to families in our neighbourhood: What kind of play equipment do you want to see? What features will help make the space more accessible, inclusive, or creative? This is your opportunity to shape the future of this important community space.

Stay tuned for the official launch of the survey—it will be available online and shared across our usual social channels.

We Need Your Hands

A project like this doesn’t happen without community support. That’s why we’re also looking for volunteers to join our Playground Committee. If you're passionate about community spaces, have skills in fundraising, project coordination, or just want to help bring a great idea to life, we’d love to hear from you. The committee will help guide decisions, organize engagement efforts, and support fundraising activities over the coming months.

We Need Your Support

Playgrounds are big investments, and while we’ll be pursuing grants and other funding opportunities, we will also be raising funds from the community. Every contribution—whether it’s time, ideas, or donations—brings us one step closer to our goal.

This is an exciting opportunity for us all to come together and create something truly meaningful for current and future generations. Let’s build something amazing—together.
